Karen Mamo

Karen Mamo, Policy, Research and Harm Reduction Manager at Authority for the Responsible Use of Cannabis, holds a Master of Science in Addiction studies, a Master of Arts and a Master of Science in Conflict Resolution and Mediterranean Security, and an Honours Degree in Italian Language and Literature. She is one of the co-authors of the civil society policy document A social equity approach for cooperative and environmentally sustainable practices within Maltese Cannabis Associations. In February 2023 Ms Mamo joined the Authority for the Responsible Use of Cannabis and is presently developing the Authority’s Policy, Research and Harm Reduction Unit. She also contributes to establish an evidence based approach to cannabis use in society and is at helm of promoting social equity and social justice principles and tools across the regulatory framework establishing Cannabis Harm Reduction Associations (CHRAs) in Malta.
